FOSPS is our new parent and community group! We are here to support the school as we move forward in 2017. We are a small but passionate group of mums, dads, grandparents, teachers and community members. We run all sorts of events from book sales and Chocolate Bingo at school, to Film Nights that are held at the local memorial hall. Moving forward we are hoping to support the staff in creating a fantastic environment for the children to learn, grow and play in.
FOSPS are funding a trip to Alcester Academy for a performance of Alice In Wonderland in the next few weeks! We also plan on bringing a giant portable planetarium to the children at school as part of the exciting Space topic. A very exciting opportunity!
Our next event is Red Nose Day (Comic Relief) on the 24th March. The children are dressing in red and donating baked goods for a bake sale at break time. The children have also been involved in selling Red Noses.
In the past few months we have raised money via a number of brilliant events. Our Valentines Café was a great success raising £185.39. Our Book Sale raised £56.83. Bags to School (Phil The Bag) raised £48.00 & £160 on two separate occasions. We also took part in a local jumble sale with Salford Priors Youth club and after splitting the profits we’ve received a lovely sum of £300. A huge thanks to Patricia Dare for her hard work at this event!
Further to all of this we’ve have recently had a grant from The Parish Council of £1750. We’re looking into quotes for new playground paintings and activities for wet play all contained on wheelie trolleys.
Please come and see what else we have going on, we look forward to welcoming you! Come and join us!
